Balance builds strength.

Hello Friends and Colleagues!

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI) is a cooperative built on the principle of shared ownership. Yet today, some member types—like Indiana-based credit unions and insurance companies—have little to no representation on the Board. I think we can do better.

I’m running for a Member Director seat to improve the balance of the composition of the FHLBI board. As President + CEO of Everwise Credit Union, I bring deep experience in financial services, a track record of community investment, and a strong commitment to the FHLBI programs that strengthen our members and their communities.

Like you, I know the value of having our voices heard. By supporting my candidacy, you’ll help ensure the FHLBI board is a balanced reflection of the bank’s membership.

To ensure our cooperative voice is heard, I ask you to make a single vote for me as a Member Director. Let’s work together to build a more representative FHLBI board.

Sincerely,

Jason M. Osterhage
President + CEO, Everwise Credit Union

Jason M Osterhage name

As you consider your vote in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI) Member Director election, I want to share more about why I’m running and what I hope to bring to the Board. Here are answers to some of the most common questions I’ve received about my candidacy, my experience, and why casting a vote for me is the most effective way to make your voice heard.

I believe it’s important to have an Indiana Credit Union leader’s voice on the board. Serving in this role would be deeply fulfilling because it will allow me to help govern and lead such an important institution.

I’m passionate about serving as a Member Director. I’ve been working in cooperative financial services for more than 20 years and my current experience as a credit union CEO would allow me to bring a unique perspective into the greater conversation. At Everwise, we work directly with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis and have used several of its programs to help our members afford homes. I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact FHLBI can have, and I’ll bring that direct experience to the Board to make it stronger.

I want to keep communication channels wide open so that all members can reach out to me at any time. I’ll listen to their needs, understand what’s working well, and advocate for them in the boardroom.

The FHLBI is a great organization led by a strong board, but I believe it can be even better if it reflects a representative sample of all member types. I want to ensure that credit unions, insurance companies, and other members all have a voice at the table.

A vote for me is a vote for a qualified candidate who can represent all members while also bringing a new perspective to the board.
