You don’t need to have everything figured out. These steps help you prepare, and we’ll walk through them with you.

1. Define your business setup.

Choose how your business will be structured (sole proprietor, LLC, corporation).  We’ll help put you on the right path.

2. Register your business name.

File a “Doing Business As” (DBA) or register your business name with your state. ✓ We can tell you how.

3. Obtain your Employer Identification Number (EIN).

An Employer Identification Number (EIN) is required for accounts, credit, and hiring. ✓ We can tell you how to apply.

4. Gather your business documents.

Formation documents, licenses, or agreements—depending on your business. ✓ We will review what you have.

5. Develop a simple financial plan.

List expected income, expenses, and goals. ✓ We will review this with you.

6. Connect with an advisor early.
